Our four female elephants—Prae, Pepsi, Linda and Jan—are at the heart of Lanta Elephant Lover by Lanta Elephant Conservation. Each has her own age, history, habits and personality. Responsible care begins with treating them as individuals rather than expecting every elephant to behave in the same way.
Prae
Prae is 25 years old. Our team observes her daily routine, appetite, movement and responses so activities can be managed with attention to her individual condition and comfort.
Pepsi
Pepsi is 45 years old. Like every elephant in our care, she has familiar routines and preferences that her mahout considers throughout the day.
Linda
Linda is 45 years old. Guests may learn about her story while observing her in the natural surroundings under the guidance of our team.
Jan
Jan is 40 years old. Her behaviour, appetite and general condition are observed as part of the same daily care routine followed for all four elephants.
What visitors can expect
Our programs focus on learning, guided feeding and walking beside the elephants. There is no riding and no performance. The exact experience may vary because activities are adjusted according to the elephants’ comfort, weather and conditions on the day.
Individual care, shared standards
Although each elephant is different, the same care principles apply: daily observation, prepared food, drinking water, appropriate rest, guidance from experienced mahouts and veterinary assessment when required.
